Hove lagoon, Jul 5 - 6

Venue

Hove Lagoon Watersports, Kingsway, Hove, East Sussex.

Directions

From London: M23 until it becomes A23 and follow it to Brighton sea front. Turn right at pier roundabout and follow the coast road for about 3 miles until you see Hove Lagoon on your left - turn at the traffic lights BEFORE you pass the Lagoon. From the West: Head for Shoreham and follow the A259 coast road until you pass Blue Ocean Sports Surf Shop on your right. Turn right at the next set of traffic lights PAST the Lagoon on your right. There is a causeway connecting the road to the esplanade.

Parking

Parking is permitted by Brighton and Hove City Council, and space is at a premium! So please park sensibly and where directed. Do not take up parking places with sails and other racing equipment This is a busy promenade for spectators and visitors, so please adhere to the 5mph speed limit at all times. Do not block the prom with vehicles or kit - access must be available at all times for emergency vehicles. Please do not park both sides of the shelters. Vehicles should not be moved between 9am and 6pm except on arrival and departure.

Camping

As above for camper vans.For tents - there is a grassy area behind the promenade wall.

Facilities

Food, drinks, the bar and all facilities of the clubhouse available to competitors. The clubhouse is friendly and very cosy - because space is limited, and there will be training courses taking place, please do not leave kit in the changing rooms and obviously no valuables.

The showers will be in great demand at the end of racing - IN and OUT quickly please; and avoid the busy times with the paying public using the Centre. The Council will be providing portaloos to cope with peak demand - but please walk the extra few metres to the public conveniences along side the lagoon and near Cafe.

There is also a cafe / restaurant alongside the lagoon.
