Amateur Welsh Wavesailing Championships this weekend

Final Update Friday 12th November: The wind and waves are looking solid for this weekend in West Wales, and with the opportunity to run the comp at either Broadhaven, Newgale or Pendine it looks like we've got the potential conditions well covered!

The safety cover over the weekend is being provided by 'Big Blue Kitesurfing' based at Newgale beach. Check them out on www.bigbluekitesurfing.com and all the watersports courses they run.

BV Rees FIAT of Cardigan have generously helped us to make this event possible! Not to mention the awesome prizes across the Amateur, Master, Women, Youth and Student catagories including a new board for the year fromFanatic, a new Sail from Simmer, Harnesses, Clothes, Beers and much more.....from Ion, O'Shea, Dirty Dog, Birts Bees and Firefly.

The 'Wild card' expression session for any pro's that attend and some amateurs selected by the judges has a prize of £200 cash to go big for.....

Entry to this event only costs £30 for BWA/UKWA members, and £40 including temporary membership for this event (non members). Entry includes the event Rash Vest and goody bag! Registration is Friday from 7.30pm at the Gallion Pub, or Saturday at 8.30am in Haven Sports.

There will be prizes for the coveted 'Team category' based on your overall results in teams of 3, these results will be from Saturday only and presented at 9pm in the Gallion Pub to celebrate!

The Sea View Cafe - opposite Haven Sports. Open until 8pm Friday. Breakfast rolls available from 830am. If you want the best Fish N Chips on Saturday night (we'll all eat here and special deals on for competitors) please book at the cafe on Saturday morning. Wetsuit wearers welcome.

The Gallion pub - Broadhaven. Offers great traditional pub food. Sign in here from 7.30pm on Friday, and prize giving will be here Sunday afternoon.

Although there is a cash machine in the Londis at Broadhaven, please bring the correct money for your entry fees - we cannot accept cheque or card and recommend you bring cash with you to be safe!

A donation from the entry fees will go to the RNLI as a thanks to the local Pebrokeshire and Pendine Community Council for allowing us beach access.
