F2 restructure and spring back into action with the signing of Zara Davis the UKs Queen of speed. Zara has been recovering from a badly broken foot that she injured in competition last year and the news of the interest in her from F2 has given her even more incentive to get back to full fitness.

This weekend’s event was one of extremes, with sails sizes of 9m on the Saturday (and not a lot of slalom), and 4m on sunday, with more races than most people could handle!

The UKWA requires volunteers to work and help on the rescue and/or Committee boats. This could include helping launch and recover boats, learning how to lay courses on the water ready for racing, recording of race results on the boats or on the shore and rescue work.

Less than 3 weeks to the opening event in the all new 2008 British Kona Cup-a 5 event series held alongside UKWA national events from May to July.
Charter equipment will be made available for pre-entered Kona One Design racers.

To get National Windsurfing Week off on the right note, there is going to be a special screening of the iconic film “The Windsurfing Movie” at The Prince Charles Cinema near Leicester Square in London, on the evening of Tuesday 29th April.This will be the first, and probably only, opportunity to see what many feel to be the best film ever made about windsurfing on a big screen.
