Windsurfer of the Year …..

Despite a very promising forecast, the wind did not arrive for the warm-up event to the evenings celebrations.

Keith Atkinson gets BBC ‘2007 Sportsman of the Year’ Nomination

Last year Keith was awarded the BBC South East ‘Watersports Personality’ of the year award and this is his third year in succession to be honoured with a BBC nomination.
The BBC have recognised Keith Atkinson’s outstanding achievements during this year, picking up all three windsurfing titles, this being a repeat of his 2006 performance and the third consecutive year that he has been the overall British Champion.


Sailors Meeting on Sunday 18th…

Members are invited to a “Sailors Meeting” that will take place on sunday morning, 18th November, at the Sandbanks Hotel. All are welcome - racers and wave sailors; speedsters and freestylers ! Meeting starts at 9.00 am - so no laying in bed after the evenings festivities!


Top Ten for Ross……

After a slow start to the season Ross Williams (GBR 83) - Gaastra, Tabou, O’Neill- finished the year strongly . Once again Ross made the PWA Top Ten in two disciplines: Wave 9th and Slalom 10th.

British Success at The First RSX Youth Worlds, Sopot

Elliot Carnet and Richard HamiltonRichard Hamilton (GBR 75) & Elliot Carney (GBR 274) did very well at the recent RSX Youth Worlds (Sopot, Poland). The competition was run to the new Olympic format with the final day being the medal race for the top ten sailors.

Keith Atkinson sails back to the beach.Keith Atkinson will be on UK Boating TV, showing on Information TV (Sky channel 167 and a live stream) on Weds 15th August at 6:30pm, and then for another 7 showings over the following fortnight (Mon/Wed/Fri at 6:30pm + Sun lunchtime), with repeated clips following on uk-boating.tv.


World windsurfing bronze for Dempsey

Keith Atkinson Wins Rutland Windsurfing Marathon 2007

Keith Atkinson receives the prize. The annual Rutland Windsurfing Marathon in aid of the NCH took place on Saturday 19th May, the venue Rutland Water, at 3100 acres one of Western Europe’s largest man made lakes, a win at this the event is much prized amongst British windsurfers, it has also attracted many overseas competitors over the years.
