Richard Jones

Ben Castledine taught me to windsurf at Carsington where I became a member of the Team-15. I did a couple of Team-15 events, then I entered the Youth and Masters at Weymouth 2002 which was my first real taste of competition. I also started sailing on a short board which I really enjoyed. The following year I started competing at UKWA events on my Aloha and my Dad started to compete on his Formula. In 2003 I was selected for the National Squad and in 2004 competed in Bulgaria at the Youth and Junior Worlds which was a great experience.

2004 has been a tremendous year for me competing in so many different disciplines. Next year I would like to try and do some more Freewave events as well.

A lot of effort has been put in this year from the race crew and the organisers and it is greatly appreciated.
