Freestyle - Weymouth - Weymouth - Ferrybridge

Sat 2nd - Sun 3rd November

What a great November.  Out in West Kirby today and saw Mr Palmer out showing how he won the first event of the season.

Freestyle

We’re now moving to the last event and it’s still a wide open competition in many of the fleets.  Who are going to be the tour winners?  If you’re not at Weymouth next weekend it’s not going to be you.

The Final 2013 Tour Event will be running at Ferrybridge, Weymouth on 2 and 3 November 2013.

Forecast is looking good at the moment but, in case there’s a late change, we’re going to try something this different this time around.  The event will be confirmed at 12 noon on Friday 1 November.  If the forecast looks sound, we’ll run.  If it looks bad, we’ll postpone until the following weekend when there’s a UKWA Slalom event running.

I will send a text around the time of this email.  If you don’t receive a text and want to be kept informed on whether the event’s going ahead or not by text then please send me your mobile number and name and I’ll add you to the circulation list.  Ben Lee’s also been busy and understand he’s set up a facebook page for UK Freestyle.  I’ll ask Ben to post the results and confirmation as to whether the event’s going ahead or not on Friday.

A big thanks to Jim Brooks-Dowsett  of Puravida for providing the venue.  There will be news on possible prizes later this week and I’m hoping I’m going to be saying a big thank you to some other kind supporters of the events later this week.

Results to date are attached. So far there’s a single discard. All the results could change once the second discard kicks in after the final event. Tour winners will be confirmed at the end of the event.  There’s an extract from the sailing instructions attached to the results explaining how they’re worked out.  If you see any mistakes please let me know as soon as possible.

All the best and remember, though this week’s forecast looks tempting, remember to keep something back or next weekend’s competition.
