Zone Open Training - Multiple

Sat 11th - Sun 12th October

As part of the zone and National Junior Square application process, applicants need to attend the zone championships and the zone open training.

The first part of the application process is the application zone championships which are to be held at various regional locations in the country. Details on entry are available on the RYA website under the racing section, youth and junior squads.

The second part is the zone open training. Again this is at various regional locations:

South/South West Open Training – Oxford Sailing Club

Head Coach - Cat Foley
Assistants - Anna Bird, Andrew Kerr.

East/South East Open Training – Datchet Water

Head Coach - Paul Sibley
Assistant - Graham Colam.

North and West Open Training – North Lincs and Humberside Sailing Club

Head Coach - Ali Yates
Assistants - Alex Griffiths and Chloe Bennett

The techno fleets to be raced will be raced 3.5, 4.5, 5.8, 6.8 and 7.8.

Entry

Online entry for open training is now closed. If you would like to enter please email Sarah Cartwright at sarah.cartwright@rya.org.uk to enquire if there are any places remaining for your selected zone.

Terms of attendance

The UKWA reserves the right to exclude or expel any member / non member / family / group or individual from its event site should it be considered that they may by their actions or the perception of such bring the UKWA, its hosts other parties or individuals into disrepute. The UKWA Committee, in part or in it’s entirety, shall be the sole judge of such action, and their decision is deemed final.

Persons expelled shall leave the event site within 30 minutes of any verbal notice and shall not return. Exclusion may be deemed temporary (this event) or permanent (all events). Permanent expulsion shall be the decision of the elected committee and shall be confirmed in writing within 21 days of any temporary expulsion, however any excluded individual may not attend any UKWA events during this period of consideration.
