Communication
The UKWA will be using its Public Address System to make announcements this weekend
However in addition we will be using a smartphone App. Whilst the PA system works well if you are in proximity, we can now talk to you directly via your smartphone throughout the event.
Not only can we talk to you, if you miss the transmission you can play it back so you never miss a thing.
If you want to be part of this then please search for and download the App called Zello Once you are signed up you go to Channels and search for UKWA including the UKWA logo.
So long as you have the App open at the event you will receive our transmissions
Further details at the events, just ask a member of the race crew.
Please note: Neither of the above replaces an individuals responsibility to The NoR, The SI's, Flags and The official Notice board

About The Venue
Racing takes place from Steamer Point on Christchurch Bay to the east of Christchurch town Centre and Mudeford Quay, mudeford Harbour.
The race site overlooks a beautiful bay with easy access to the beach to the left of the famous Christchurch beach huts. Looking out to sea all kit should be restricted to the left of the huts to give locals and holiday makers free access to the beach frontage.
There are ample toilets on the sea front
Our hosts Christchurch Boardsailing Club have a small club house and hot showers are available.
A small cafe is available on the sea front
Council website
Directions
From London and the South East. M3 and M27
From Midlands. M40 and A34
Once you reach Christchurch you need to follow the by-pass (A35) towards Lymington. At its end, large roundabout, go streight over into Highcliff Road. Follow it to the roundabout, turn right into The Runway. Third on left into Bure Lane (signposted the coastguard station), fourth on left into Seaway Avenue. Continue to the sea. The camping area is through the gates on right hand side.
Be Warned: if you look at a map you CANNOT turn right into Bure Lane from the Lymington Road coming from Christchurch, although you can turn left into it if you are travelling from Lymington.
Camping
The access gate to the camping fielf will be locked so you will need to make your way to the race office for access if the gate is not manned when you arrive.
Camping is in a large grassy field which is flat and overlooks the bay. The toilets are accessed in the far right hand corner.
We are very fortunate to have access to this venue. The caming field backs onto private houses, so please respect the locals by keeping noise down and keeping the site tidy so that locals can walk ammongst us.
There is a £10 per night charge made for parking at this venue, as charges are made by both the Council and by the boardsailing club. The please pay the race office at registration and display your permitt at all times.
