Cup 4 - Mumbles
Sat 18th - Sun 19th July
The UKWA National Championships 2009 continues at Mumbles Yacht Club over the third weekend in July. The UKWA raced at Mumbles for the first time in 2008. All those who made the trip will agree this is a fantastic venue. With excellent parking overlooking the beautiful bay this venue offers competitors the very best of Wales. Located at the end of town the club made us extreamly welcome last year and with easy launching and great facilities this is an event not to be missed. The UKWA can again look forward to two days of action packed racing.

- Follow the coast road all the way around the bay into Mumbles village.
- Drive through the village.

- Drive past the Pilot pub on the right.
- Take the next left into Knab Rock car park.

- If nobody is in the office, leave it on the 'knuckle' to the right of the slipway - ahead and slightly to the left as you enter the carpark.
- MYC is opposite the car park entrance.
- If you go up a steep hill with the pier down to the left, you've just missed us!

Camping
- Cricket club. Camping during an event is often available at the local cricket club at £5 per person per night. Shower and toilet facilities are available. Please contact the club directly to pre-book. There are 3 contacts you can try: the club itself on 01792 367191 (usually eve. only); Mark Portsmouth on 360532 and John Blythe on 01792 412408. Directions: follow the road past Mumbles Yacht Club up the hill and around to the right until you come to a right turn next to Fortes Icecream Parlor. Take that right and follow the road up and right until you see the sign for the cricket club on the left. We recommend that you leave your boat and trailer at Knab Rock (i.e. at the sailing club) rather then take it to the cricket club; the roads being fairly narrow. 15-20 min walk.

For the less hardy there are nine 4 star self catering cottages and barns and for the really adventurous Challenge Valley - the muddiest assault course in the world!! or horseriding.
