Freewave Training Camp

The UKWA Youth and Junior freestyle/wave training camp is at Christchurch agian this year, from 27th - 29th August 2005.

Christchurch Boardsailing Club, Steamer Point, Seaway Avenue, Christchurch, Dorset.

Cost for the 3 day weekend:
Junior (under 17 at 31st December 2005). £60.00 each.
Youth (under 20 at 31st December 2005). £65.00 each.
This includes intensive instruction by fully experienced instructors. Mark Hosegood will head the team and over the weekend there will be sessions on specific moves with some of the top UK Freewave sailors who will be attending the UKWA Freewave Series Event running at the same time.
Also included will be free use of the latest kit from most of the leading brands. Matt Wemms will be there for the whole weekend with Mistral, North and Fanatic kit. Most of the other importers will be there for at least part of the time for you to try and compare their kit.
A youth/junior freestyle/wave competition will be held at some time over the weekend, there will be lots of product prizes provided by Mark Agg Jones of Spot on Water, the local windsurfing/watersports shop.
The winners of each class will also receive a free entry into the UKWA National Freestyle Championships at Poole.
Obviously bring short boards but if you have them bring long/wide boards as well as if there is light wind we will still be doing work on lightwind freestyle techniques.
Rescue cover will be provided by one of the UKWA boats.
Registration will be on Sat 27/8/05 from 9.00 - 10.00 at the clubhouse.
Camping on site will cost £3.00 per van or £2.00 per tent per night, use of the showers and all the facilities at the clubhouse are included.
There will be a barbecue on site on Saturday evening which is inclusive for entrants, extra tickets will be £6.00 and will include a free drink.
