Sophie Bailey - Young Sports Person Award

16 year-old Sophie Bailey from Morwenstowe received the OCS Young Sports Person Award for the South West Region from celebrity sporting guest Beijing Olympic Bronze Medallist Bryony Shaw at this year's celebratory luncheon on 27 November at the Brit Oval in London. Slalom in 2009

JP/Pryde are proud to announce their continued support for the UKWA and are back on board with Slalom for 2009 with a great line up of events.

MWA Frostbite Series

Midland Windsurfing Association Two Day Frostbite Series, this Saturday and Sunday at Whitwell Rutland Water. Overnight parking Friday & Saturday, Racing from 11am Saturday. Briefing 10.30. Frostbite Notice of Race.

Windsurfer of the Year

The cream of the UK's windsurfing talent descended on WPNSA this weekend to receive their trophies and receive applause from their peer's. All windsurfing disciplines were represented including Olympic RSX, Slalom, Speed, Freestyle, Course Racing and Wave. The UKWA windsurfer of the year was also crowned. The candidates are drawn from the best national and international competitors and are then voted on by the windsurfing public.

Racing and Slalom at Farmoor this weekend

Course Racing (Saturday) and Fun Slalom (Sunday) at Farmoor this weekend. Oxford Sailing Club is the place to be this weekend. The London Windsurfing Association are running course racing for all course racing fleets on Saturday. Dan Simpson is running Fun Slalom on Sunday at Farmoor.

MWA Frostbite event this weekend Cancelled

Due to a zone training event this weekend of which I was not aware this Sundays Frostbite series race at Rutland is cancelled. You can be assured that the 2, two day events will proceed as planned.
