Student Windsurfing Association Festival Hots Up!

4 October 2006

Student Windsurfing AssociationWith the nights drawing in, the rain pouring down and the autumn winds raging and storming (hopefully!), a strange murmur from the deepest darkest depths of the South West has been heard by students across the land…

The SWA Festival has been building momentum over the last few weeks and it is high time that we teased you all with a little more information.

SWA student windsurfers 2005

The event is still set for the weekend of 21st/22nd October with accomodation and party, including live band I.D.Ology, at Bude Holiday Park and windsurfing at Roadford Reservoir. Top coaches Jem Hall and Jim Collis have been added to the bill to front tuition of the advanced and intermediate clinics respectively. However the talent continues because alongside these legends of the windsurfing world RYA National coach and GBR racer Olly Woodcock and Hugh Sims Williams will also be lending a hand with their very own speed and race clinics. Talents will be honed, abs are to be flexed and egos massaged to make SWA sailors the leanest and meanest in the land!

With this years 'Get the girls on boards!' campaign there will also be an exclusive girls-only clinic on the Sunday morning where UKWA sailor Camilla French and one of the brightest stars of the SWA-Team: Tanya Saleh will be hosting a question and answer session for girls of all ability. Rumours are there may well be an exclusive Naish-related revelation on this subject made on the actual day of the event too, you'll just have to make sure you come along to find out!

Give us a call, an email, fax or even send a letter, but one way or another make sure you don't miss out on the greatest windsurfing party and tuition event held all year. I think we'd go as far as saying you were plain crazy if you didn't hop on over to the West and join us in four weeks time!
