Sparky's Youth Training Camp No. 3, Tenerife

4 March 2007

Sparky's training. Plans are now being finalized for Sparky's third Youth Training Camp - a scheme masterminded by Sparky (Mark Hosegood) himself and drawing inspiration from the Andy Funnell Foundation to help raise the level of youth windsurfing within the UK and aboard.

Building on the success of the two previous camps in Dahab, Sparky has seen his recent appointment as the OTC's Beach Manager as a perfect opportunity to develop the camp concept further. Due to take place at the OTC in El Médano, Tenerife during the May half term (26th May-2nd June) the camp will now benefit from the use of the OTC's four sailing areas, covering everything from flat-water to waves, as well as the use of the latest equipment from no less than seventeen different brands!

Tailor made specifically to meet the demands of the country's next generation of stars, everything will be covered from light-wind core skills to the latest freestyle stunts, and new for this year an introduction into wave sailing. For more information on the camp, contact Sparky on: sparky@otc-windsurf.com, visit the OTC website (www.otc-windsurf.com) or contact Trevor Funnell on: t50rev@freedom255.com.

The minimum ability required is waterstarting, harness, footstraps and staying upwind on a sub 100L board.
