Tenby Welsh Cup Event info
31 May 2007
Tenby is the jewel of the welsh crown, boasting golden sandy beaches, shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Set in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park its a popular tourist destination and offers the UKWA not only fantastic sailing conditions (as hardened slalom competitors can testify) but a welcome holiday also-in fact there is probably more to do off the water than there is on the water.
See the Tenby event info, but the following is worth reading now:
Saturday night's entertainment has been specially arranged for the UKWA. Local outdoor sports park Heatherton have agreed to host the UKWA competitors and supporters for the evening. We will have sole use of the park for the evening, activities include:
- bumper boats.
- air pistol shooting.
- archery.
- laser clay pigeon shooting.
- adventure golf. (crazy golf but on steroids)
- pitch and putt. (long holes, more like drive and putt)
- baseball range.
- karting.
- driving range.
- robot wars.
All of the above activities are available through an activity pass which has been offered to us at only £8 a head (half price) for this you get all the above, no queues! (its just us) and a BBQ where you can bring your own drink for all those that just fancy a quiet sociable evening in the restaurant/dining area. you must book your place in advance for this as numbers are required in order to plan staffing rotas at the park, if you don't book in advance you may not be accomodated as all activities require instruction and close supervision (except golf). You will not get better value for your £8 anywhere else! heatherton is approx 2 miles from Greenhill school with ample car parking for all of us (they cater for coaches for example!)
any questions e mail me on clewisgbr366@rya-online.net (or to register your name and number of tickets for saturday night's activities!)
