Bring a friend! lets all work to get bigger fleets!

We all enjoy UKWA events, thats why we go and thats why week in week out we drive the miles, buy the kit and fund our hobbies!

For a while now fleet sizes have dwindled, marriage, house buying and missing generations have all been factors as to why fewer people are attending events. Team 15 and techno initiatives have helped but we have to realise that unless fleet sizes increase the pot of money used for funding our circuits will run dry.

We can advertise and shout as much as we can in magazines and on web sites but ultimately the best recruiting seargent we have is ourselves, as sailors and competitors we can enthuse the people we meet at the beaches, we can bring friends and associates and we can publicise our own actions/achievemnets as much as possible to raise the UKWA profile and thus encourage bigger fleet sizes.

I float this thread in an attempt to ask all those out there for any great ideas as to how we can increase our fleet sizes, all positive, realistic, achievable and constructive feedback is welcome! (no dancing girls etc...)

Its our tour and we all have to take some responsability if we wish it to continue and thrive.
