Pre-entry and charter form for Kona Cup now available

Less than 3 weeks to the opening event in the all new 2008 British Kona Cup-a 5 event series held alongside UKWA national events from May to July.

May 17th - 18th Whitwell (Inland Event - Midlands)
May 24th - 16th Christchurch (Coastal Event - South)
June 28th - 29th Bridlington (Coastal Event - North East)
July 12th - 13th Derwent (Inland Event - North West)
July 19th - 20th Eastbourne Extreme (Coastal Event - South East)

Charter equipment will be made available for pre-entered Kona One Design racers. Pre-entry via this website.You will find the pre entry form on the "information " pages.
Book early to avoid disappointment. Racing will follow the Kona One Design rules, details via kona-windsurfing.com website.

Results will qualify for international Kona rankings for One Design competitors. There will also be a Kona Open fleet available for Kona riders who do not currently have the official Kona One Design rigs to use with their Kona's. They will race according to UKWA Raceboards rules and will be recognized as Open fleet Kona racers. Open fleet race results will not count towards Kona One Design rankings.

There will be prizes for Kona One Design and also Kona Open fleets.
In addition to the kudos of earning an international Kona Cup ranking, Surf Sales Ltd are launching the UK Kona Cup and offering a Kona incentive, with generous prize money, in the form of vouchers to be re-deemed at Surf Sales retailers around the UK for the top Kona performers at each event.

Please note that Kona riders who prefer to use alternative rigs should enter to race as â€˜Kona Open' competitors, Kona Open competitors will not qualify for Kona One Design rankings but will qualify for product prizes generously provided once again by Surf-Sales.
