PRIZE MONEY
GMFCo have announced the Pro Fleet Prize Money as follows:
1st £1500, 2nd £1000, 3rd £750, 4th £500, 5th £400, 6th £300, 7th £200, 8th £100
More prizes to be announced for over fleets shortly.
FERRIES
A Government led initiative called 'Road Equivalent Transport' is being brought into play on the CALMAC route from Oban to Tiree. This effectively means discounted ferries for EVERYONE. However, the scheme doesn't come into play until the winter timetable starts on Sunday 19th October. Despite GMFCo's best efforts, that date cannot be brought back a week to benefit a group of windsurfers.
But, if you are able to stay until the Sunday when CALMAC will be putting on TWO ferries, then you will get a cheaper single ticket home (around 40% cheaper). If you have to go home on the Saturday then sorry- no discount.
Therefore this is how to do it:
Book ON or after Sept 8th when the scheme officially starts.
Book a single TO the island and then book a single BACK from the island for the Sunday or any date after that.
