Down-winder from Sandbanks on Sunday
9 July 2009
From Guy Cribb:
Due to the great forecast, I have organised a windsurfing downwinder from Sandbanks to Christchurch for Sunday July 12 AND I am arranging transport to bring everybody back upwind!
Anyone who would like to join The Windsurfers Along The South (T.W.A.T.S.) for this semi-hard core adventure of ten miles along the beautiful beaches of Bournemouth needs to email me asap to reserve your place on the bus arranged to return us home!
Full and final details released on Saturday when the forecast has settled, but provisional arrangements are meet in Sandbanks car park by 10am and leave when it's windy enough!
The actual sailing distance will be approximately 20 miles so should take between 30 to 90 minutes.
BBQ and beers on arrival at Avon Beach.
Map attached (took all of 5 mins on photoshop)
Open to anyone who can blast downwind in both footstraps and get round a few gybes.
Pack your phone in a waterproof bag and never sail too far from the shore.
Apologies for the last minute arrangements here at INtuition HQ, but I always like a challenge!
Hope to see you on Sunday- if so, email me now as there's not many places left on the bus!
Very best wishes, Guy
