GURU presentations at Weymouth
28 April 2009
News flash from Tushingham
Last weekend our National racing association (UKWA) launched their racing season with a marvellous event at Pitsford near Northampton. Up on last year - 102 competitors attended, all blessed with wind and sunshine. The encouraging news was that the RACEBOARD FLEET over doubled in size from last year.
This bank holiday weekend the UKWA go to Weymouth for what looks like being one of the biggest championships for many years.
The RACEBOARD CLASS is the one to watch - and if you feel like joining the longboard fleet, the UKWA are offering any first time racer a reduction on entry cost. And Starboard still have one or two of the Phantom 380 Raceboards for loan. First come first served.
The organisers have also just announced that they will have two ‘guest' presentations during the three day event.
First up will be:
KEN BLACK: RIGGING TIPS: Ken Black rates as one of the leading windsurf sail designers in the World - with competition designs that have won numerous National and World Titles. His latest creation is the new Tushingham XR Race sail. He is down at Weymouth to continue the development programme. ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON KEN BLACK WILL PRESENT A COMPLETE GUIDE TO ‘RIGGING AND TUNING YOUR RACE SAILS'. After the hour's presentation Ken will be happy to spend more time looking your own individual sail. An opportunity not to miss.
NIK BAKER: EQUIPE LAUNCH: Nik Baker - our own PWA superstar will be present to show off the new Mistral Equip 3. Hot from the mould, Nik will present more details on one of the two new fantastic Raceboards having reached the Raceboard scene this year.
More details on Cup 1.
