British Slalom 2010

4 February 2010

Blasting back and forth, checking your speed, racing your mates and trying to get round the corners fast, dry and looking cool! Pure windsurfing fun no matter what level of ability your at or what element of the sport you specialise in. Slalom windsurfing is the most accessible form of windsurfing and the new BSA- British Slalom Association recognises this and as such has been established to bring sociable, inclusive and enjoyable windsurfing to everyone.

The worlds leading brands (Fanatic, JP, Neil Pryde, North, Starboard and Tushingham) have joined forces, along with the UKWA to form the BSA and have been working hard to bring the most simplest and enjoyable form of organised mass participation windsurfing to the UK shores, featuring fleets to cater for all commitment and ability levels (novice to pro!), event parties, technique clinics from the familiar gurus/pros as well as equipment demos and participation prizes.

With 8 events planned for 2010 the BSA are really looking to build on the established succcess of the past 2 years and bring this new and inclusive form of the national tour to a beach near you. The events will be packed with extras to ensure entrants get maximum value out of the weekend both on and off the water. 3 fleets will run over the weekend from pro's and amatuers to the newly re-named master blaster fleet which will offer many sailors the oppurtunity to compete in their first national event in a relaxed and enjoyable format, attracting junior team 15 sailors, team entries and seasoned campaigners alike!

Keep your calender free and check out the events near you soon, as well as keeping an eye on
