UKWA Windsports Personality Of The Year 2024

Jenna Gibson wins Windsports Personality Of The Year 2024.

Jenna was presented with the prestigious trophy today at The RYA Boat Show in Farnborough.

UKWA Chairman, Bob Ingram said; Despite being a previous winner back in 2018 this was for her achievements in the slalom discipline, as this second award is for Speed, a different discipline Jenna was nominated to win the award again. The committee decided not to put the trophy out to a public vote for 2024 as Jenna's achievement in breaking the Ladies World Speed Record was such an outstanding performance they felt she was the only true worthy winner.

Jenna set a New World Record speed for ladies windsurfing at Luderitz Namibia of 48.3Knots as well as being the first ever lady to break the 50 knot barrier for peak speed.
