The E.W.A. begins its second year and plans its first race of the 2008 series on Sunday 23rd March at Alton Water, Suffolk. For anyone interested the EWA plans to hold its Annual General Meeting on Monday 25th February -to be held in the public bar of the Kings Head Public house in Stutton at 7:30. Another sunny weekend in prospect!
Forecast on Sat is 13 knots and 10 knots on Sunday, easterlies both days. Programme is probably Formula on both days.
I'll be next to the Inn on the Beach from 10am till 1pm on Sat and all day on Sunday.
It was nice to see 5 Formulas on the water last weekend, including some locals.

Speed World Cup...
Lots of things have changed since the International Speed Windsurfing Class (ISWC) has become an official ISAF international class in May 2007.
The ISWC board wants to inform you about the changes that we implemented over the winter break, giving you more service, more sailing, more fun on the water ! -

The Youth Olympic Games aim to bring together talented young athletes from around the world; and will feature 100 sailors in 4 events-including windsurfing boy and girl. Good news for our Techno 7.8 kids. Final decision on venue -February 21st.

Keith nominated for Award
Keith Atkinson has been nominated and short listed for the ‘Suffolk Coastal District' annual ‘Sports Personality of the Year' award.
Keith moved his base to Felixstowe almost a year ago and has already made his mark in the region by being the driving force behind XTREMEFEST 2007, Felixstowe's first extreme sports event. -

Driven by wind opening event
The opening week of Driven by Wind is over and was blessed with 35 to 40 knots of wind on the 2nd day which allowed Finian Maynard on his first visit to the Ray at Southend to set a blistering 44.32 knot run.
