One day of racing, Saturday, and 5 rounds of slalom racing completed for both Top Flight and Challenge fleets. The wind gods prevailed yet again.. if only for one day, and tame in comparision to some of the previous years offerings! However conditions were not easy - gusty and shifty winds challenged all competitors, and the Race Crew!

Congratulations to Zara Davis, following on from the Speed World Cup event in Namibia, Zara has finished this years programme as 3rd fastest woman, and 2nd in the production board series. Full results. Pete Davis is the new Chairman of ISA ; and has been invited to join UKWA Committee with a view to generating new interest in UK Speed. More details will follow.

RYA Girls Development Weekend

Keith Atkinson wins UK Formula Triple
It was down to the wire for Keith Atkinson who finished the 2006 UK Formula Windsurfing season by winning all five races in the final UKWA Inland event held at Farmoor. The win gave Keith not only the 2006 British Formula Inland Windsurfing Championship title but it added vital points that he required to retain his 2005 overall title making him the 2006 British Formula Windsurfing Champion.

Pro Wave Sailing at the Maze
The warm Tiree sun shone its finest for the first round of the men's Pro Wave Sailing at the Maze. With the tail end of an Atlantic low still making its presence felt and South Westerly winds conditions were, according to head competition judge, Duncan Coombs ‘Good Tiree'.

Speedweek 2006
The harbour record was broken on the first day by Kitesurfer Nigel Bowley with an amazing 36.85 knot run which was not beaten all week and netted him $1000 prize purse donated by DaKine. The previous record holder Bjorn Dunkerbeck was not there on the day, he arrived champing at the bit to get out and reclaim his title, but other contenders were also hungry for the title including David (Whitey) White the current production world speed record holder. Weymouth Speed Week 2006
A real David and Goliath battle is developing at the 2006 Weymouth speed week. On the first day a kitesurfer Nigel Rowels broke the harbour record, achieving an amazing 36.8 knots! And has laid claim to the $1000 prize fund put up by Da Kine.
