Recognition For Windsurfing
Sutton Coldfield-based Bob and Sue Ingram received their RYA National Award, presented to outstanding individuals for their commitment and services to boating and the RYA at a national level, for their work with the UK Windsurfing Association.
Bob Said.....We had a great day out in London at the Awards Ceremony. It was a great surprise to be nominated and our sincere thanks to Helen for putting us forward. Whilst this is a great honour for us personally most of all this is recognition for windsurfing and the fun it can bring to peoples lives, be that at the very pinnacle of competition or sailing recreationally in the Sunshine on a warm Sunday afternoon. Of course much of what the UKWA does is down to a small team of willing and dedicated volunteers who freely give up their time throughout the season. This award recognises all of them, their commitment and their friendship. Thank you to everyone who sent kind messages of support. Bob & Sue
