This years Ocean Festival from Hove Lagoon will offer something for all windsurfing persuasions- freewave , racing and speed ! A promising forecast and lots on offer for all ages and abilities......and the occasional masterblaster for all to enjoy.!

Tenby - a big thank you....
The first big race event to be held in Tenby for many a year was a success both on and off the water - principally due to the huge effort put into the preparations by Chris "Typhoon"Lewis.
Many thanks to him , but also to the Surflink crew from the host club, to Tenby Council and Greenhill School.

Techno class rules and information
The Techno 293 Class is devoted to fostering the development of windsurf racing for competitors under the age of 17 years old around the world through the promotion of an inexpensive racing format. The RYA have a page on National Junior Windsurfing Squad with quite a few useful 'related' documents such as the Class rules.

Farmoor-Inlands - in brief
Over 80 competitors appeared at Farmoor Reservoir for the third round of the 2007 Inland Championship. The assembled fleet included 30 eager Team 15's... 5 races were completed for Techno 293 juniors, RSX Youths, and Raceboard; and 4 races for the Team 15 sailors.

Hythe postponed
The Hythe Festiva,l that had been rescheduled to the weekend of 30th june /1st July, has been postponed. Logistical problems and unexpected work committments have handicapped the event organisers; and it was felt appropriate to work towards introducing the event into the 2008 calendar.

Overall rankings for 4 Nations Cup and 2007 Wave Championship have been published. After 2 events - Brandon Bay and Rhosneigr-the leading sailors include a tie for first place in the pro fleet......

Bridlington report - Dan Simpson
The wind forecast was great for the UKWA British Open Windsurfing Championships in Bridlington. It was going to be windy but unfortunately it was also going to be wet and cold. I think this put off a few people who may have otherwise made the trip ‘Up North.'

With a promising forecast for the bank holiday weekend Bridlington is preparing itself for the 2007 British Open Racing Championships. The venue has for many years been a favourite of ukwa racers, but this years event will also include a round of Freewave .

F2 Speedgun Challenge 2 - Whitwell
Despite a relatively small entry, this was a fiercely contested Challenge. James probably spent as much time on the water as most racers - trying to get the best out of his equipment, in difficult, gusty conditions, with run after run after run at the speedgun. Perserverance does pay off...

Fat Face Night Windsurf confirmed - dates released!
Fat Face, the active lifestyle brand has confirmed that it will be running the second Night Windsurf on the 8-9th September 2007 on Hayling Island, following its spectacular inaugural event last year. The 2006 event, which had the perfect weather conditions of 42 knots, attracted more than 350 entrants and was hailed as the ‘best windsurfing event in 20 years'.
