"We are organizing the next Formla Spanish Cup, from the 19 / 22 of March. There are a few groups from countries like Portugal, Estonia, Italy, Germany, who are coming to the Cup, as an early season training preparation."

Moscow or Singapore ..2010?

The Youth Olympic Games aim to bring together talented young athletes from around the world; and will feature 100 sailors in 4 events-including windsurfing boy and girl. Good news for our Techno 7.8 kids. Final decision on venue -February 21st.

Keith nominated for Award

Keith Atkinson has been nominated and short listed for the ‘Suffolk Coastal District' annual ‘Sports Personality of the Year' award.
Keith moved his base to Felixstowe almost a year ago and has already made his mark in the region by being the driving force behind XTREMEFEST 2007, Felixstowe's first extreme sports event.

Date Change -Ireland Wave...

Apologies for the late change, but Ireland 4 Nations , Wave 1, has moved to April17th >21st. The event is hosted by the Irish Windsurfing Association at Jamie Knox Watersports, Brandon Bay. Full details will be published soon.

The international BIC Techno 293OD Class have selected BIC as the supplier of the new one design rig for International Competition commencing from the 2008 Worlds onwards

Driven by wind opening event

The opening week of Driven by Wind is over and was blessed with 35 to 40 knots of wind on the 2nd day which allowed Finian Maynard on his first visit to the Ray at Southend to set a blistering 44.32 knot run.

Techno Open Training week-end at Axbridge

The Techno Support Group has arranged a Techno Open Training week-end at Axbridge (Bristol Corinthian Yacht Club) on 16/17 February 2008. Cost is £40 per sailor. The weekend will be coached by RYA Coaches Ian Jamieson and Cat Potter (back from her recent World Tour). More on the TSG website.

Midlands 2008 calendar....

Midland region series 2008 now published at midlandswindsurfing.org.uk. A ten race series of 1 and 2 day events open to all hosted by The Midlands Region.

New Team15 Club in the South East

Congratulations to Spray Water Sports in Eastbourne, who are the latest RYA training centre to become an official Team15 club.
The T15 project continues to grow -great news for sustaining activity within the UKWA
