Race and train day this Saturday at Chasewater
The Midland region will be running a winter race and train day this Saturday at Chasewater in Cannock. At the moment the weather looks good for the weekend but if weather conditions deteriorate we will announce the cancellation of the event on the midlands web site by 10pm on Thursday night, so please be sure to check.

Albeau is FW World champion
We had good wind everyday and were able to keep exactly to the planned schedule for races.
A different couse everyday; 5 courses to test the all round ability of this formula fleet from 17 countries, representing 4 continents. -
Formula Worlds - Last day of practice before competition

Mark Kay Winter Training : 07-08 UPDATE
This weekend turned out to be an excellent training session with Techno and RSX. The conditions on Saturday were cold however had 10-22 knots with some tricky gusts, managing speeds of up to 30mph; It was more of survival training session.
Mark really does push the sailors to the limit; no matter how hard the sailors think they are working Mark seems to get them to work ever harder. -
Windsurfer of the Year .....
Despite a very promising forecast, the wind did not arrive for the warm-up event to the evenings celebrations.
The evenings activity moved to the Sandbanks Hotel , Poole, for the Annual Awards Ceremony. MC for the evening was Ceri Williams, a late replacement for Peter Hart , who was a late replacement for DW ; who was a ......... -

Keith Atkinson gets BBC 2007 Sportsman of the Year Nomination
Last year Keith was awarded the BBC South East ‘Watersports Personality' of the year award and this is his third year in succession to be honoured with a BBC nomination.
The BBC have recognised Keith Atkinson's outstanding achievements during this year, picking up all three windsurfing titles, this being a repeat of his 2006 performance and the third consecutive year that he has been the overall British Champion. -
