Last course race event for 2012
It's been a great season, with good numbers attending the events, check out the winners of 2012.
The 40th Anniversary of Weymouth Speed Week was the host to the UKWA British Speed Championships sponsored by Spartan Wetsuits. Light winds for the first few days but they gradually built towards the end of the week.
And so the season draws to an end with the final showdown taking place at the ideal location of Weymouth.
Chris Bond reports: "The wind kicked in, sure enough, but was only blowing 9-12 knots in the morning meaning no shore dump and great flat racing conditions"
Just to remind everyone, this coming weekend (22/23 Sept), we will be at West Wittering for the penultimate event in the series and everything is still to play for in all of the fleets.

Nominations wanted for the Robert Cartwright Trophy award 2012, a perpetual trophy is awarded each autumn at the Youth & Masters Championships in Weymouth.
Some of the UKWA race crew volunteered to spend 2 weeks at Weymouth for the 2012 Olympics, it was a fantastic experience.
