The PWA indoor championships has been three days of freestyle, slalom and jumps for both the men and women. Following on from the first day, the big news was the Nik Baker would not be able to defend his indoor slalom title.

PWA day 1
The PWA Slalom kicked off in style today, the first of three days of competition. Each day follows the same format, with Freestyle after lunch, slalom in the afternoon, and jumps in the evening.

Day eight update
The show is progressing at pace, the gybes are getting better and the timed runs quicker. Baker is still out in front as far as gybing and tactics go but the rest of the fleet is hot on his heels.

First report from the indoors
The sailing is superb, hard as ever, and a couple of runs nearly sailing out the end of the pool after our first session they put up a net at the end of the pool to stop the windsurfers sailing into the crowd.
