Two Prestigious endorsement's for Weymouth Speed Week
The world's longest-running speed event has been endorsed by the UK Windsurfing Association to hold the British Championships from 2007 onwards. It is a big step forward for the event, which has also gained recognition this week also from the International Speedsailing Association and will be on the calendar for the World Series.

Windsurfer gets a Yachting Award
Zara Davis our No 1 Ladies speedsailor has been awarded the Sailor of the year trophy by the Bristol Channel Yachting Association, who represent over 55 yacht clubs over the South West of England.

Exocet LB demo at Bough Beach
At the first LWA Event of the 2007 Summer Series at Bough Beech SC near Sevenoaks on Sat 10 March, Surf Sales have kindly agreed to bring along two of the new Exocet longboards to demo, a Kona and a Warp X.

Nick Dempsey still ranked 1st
Nick Dempsey has retained his No. 1 world ranking for the third successive time following an outstanding 2006 series. The 26 year old Olympic Bronze medallist is currently training in Palma and is looking forward the World championship in Portugal where he will hope to qualify for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Bryony Shaw is currently lying in 4th position.

Speed Gun Challenge
To help promote speedsailing the UKWA will also be having a speedgun at a number of UKWA racing events to measure your speed.
