Rutland Water Delivers Again
"All through the night the wind built keeping many people awake but fortunately it settled to a steady 12-16 knots by the 9.15 briefing. The race team had worked hard to get the course ready early and the orange flag was raised for the formula fleet at the end of the race briefing." Bob Ingram reports back from the last Inland event.

UKWA Wave Series Final West Wittering 26th - 28th October
The final event of the UKWA Series was hosted by West Wittering Windsurf Club over the weekend. With one day of high wind sandwiched between high pressures we were lucky to get some wind. Sunday morning saw force six and good waves hit West Wittering beach with one of the highest tides of the year.

There has been a change of venue for the forthcoming end of season party and prize giving. This "must attend" extravaganza will now take place at the Sandbanks Hotel , Poole.

Alan Jackson rose to the occasion - two wins in the last 2 races ensured he finished the event one point ahead of main rival K 9-Guy Cribb . -

Round 4 of the 2007 Slalom Championships takes place this weekend off West Beach, Hayling Island.Competition for top place is close in all divisions.

A number of ex demo/lightly used RSX packages (complete) are now available for customers to purchase in the UK. The Kit is in very good condition, the packages are available in 8.5m sizes and 9.5m sizes and are from an event run last year

Our resident Formula rep & enthusiast Xavier Ferlet is organising an unofficial training / practice day for anyone interested. It was going to be tomorrow (Sat 20th), but has been postponed until 10-11th Nov due to a light forecast, but it will give more people an opportunity to attend.

Top Ten for Ross......
After a slow start to the season Ross Williams (GBR 83) - Gaastra, Tabou, O'Neill- finished the year strongly . Once again Ross made the PWA Top Ten in two disciplines: Wave 9th and Slalom 10th.

With just one more event to go in the race for the 2007 Wave titles, the rankings after Tiree - round 3 of the 4 Nations Championship- are published. Leading sailors are: Andy King (Pro), Simon Crowther (Am), Louise Emery (Ladies), Graham Woods (youth), Aleksy Gayda (Junior) and Sav (Master).

Frustrating Speedweek 2007
The week was hailed a great success despite the lack of wind the Monday's counting round meant it qualified as an official round of the World ISA circuit and that Nigel Spriggs and Linda Cleary are crowned the UKWA 2007 British speed champions.

Dan wins IFCA World title....
After five days the 23rd IFCA Slalom World Championships 2007 in Hyeres has ended. Despite not so promising forecasts it was possible to have spectacular windsurfing competition on all but the last days. Dan Ellis (GBR 52, Fanatic, Naish Sails) from Great Britain is the Slalom World Champion 2007.
