WINDFEST -Freestyle for all...
The Pro's National Championship will be run over Fri, Sat and Sun as stated but there will also be a National Freestyle Championship Event for Ladies, Amateurs, Youths and Juniors over the weekend with registration on Saturday from 0930-1030.

FAT FACE 2007 - a great success
The 2007 FAT FACE WINDSURFING FESTIVAL was a resoundng success - despite the poor wind forecast 300 sailors registered for this years event.
...introduced for the first time - the Night Time Materblaster Challenge, the top 60 freeride racers from the saturday series invited to compete. -
GBR win 2 world titles...
Team GBR win two world titles at the Formentera World Championships. Ali Masters (u17) and Sam Sills (u15) emerged victorious in the 2007 Techno 293 World Championships. A further 2 races on the last day to complete a full series of 12 races for all fleets.
A great end to a successful championship. -

WHITEAIR success....
The first formula windsurfing Grand prix to take place in the uk was won by Gonzalo Costa Hoevel (ARG3).
Seven races were completed over the 5 days of the Whiteair Festival in predominantly light to medium offshore winds. All the sailors considered the event a great success and are looking forward to returning in 2008. -

Whiteair 2007 - starts today
Whiteair 2007 starts today , and windsurfing will be strongly represented at the "extreme festival" - featuring a leg of formula windsurfing international Grand Prix tour , and round one of UKWA Freestyle championships .
UK racers will be well represented in the formula event commencing on tuesday ; and the pre entry list for the freestyle looks impressive . Freestyle registration commences on friday morning - if you have not booked the weekend on the IOW it still not too late . Four Nations Cup: Tiree Update (3-5 Oct)
The Tiree event is 8 weeks away!! Accommodation on the island will be very tight as a lot of the ‘windsurfing houses' and the Hynish Hostel have been pre-booked for the PWA event. However, Andy Groom has offered to give over some of the houses to the UKWA competitors.

Whiteair 2007 is not far off...
WHITEAIR Extreme Sports Festival 2007 has undergone a major transformation! Windsurfing remains the centre of attraction but the dates have moved to accommodate the Whiteair Formula Windsurfing Grand Prix ; bringing to the shores of the UK top formula racers from around the world , including current World Champion Steve Allen (AUS0). The event will also include Round 1 of the UKWA Freestyle Championships. (Info sheet)

Freewave camp re-scheduled
Due to circumstances beyond our control it is now not possible to run the UKWA YOUTH & JUNIOR FREEWAVE TRAINING CAMP over the weekend of 28/29 July. The revised dates are now 22/23 September, this is the next weekend that top level instructors are available and that has low midday tides which are preferable at Hove.
