I would be surprised if you hadn't heard about this event as Surfkraft Team Captain, Ian Kraft, put a lot of time and effort into making sure the whole world knew about the event that would see Eastbourne transformed into the Extreme Sports mecca of Europe! There was loads going on and this always makes an event more enjoyable and you get a lot of spectators for the windsurfing which is a great way to show them what it is all about.

Christchurch Super X Report

Formula Junior, Youths and Masters Worlds
"The 4th day of Youth, Junior and Masters World's in Christchurch was very tough and brought us more fight and some changes to the results. From the very morning we had good side shore wind and we started off at 10 o clock." Leszek Rutkowski reports, Youth and junior results.

UK Youth and Masters Championships
The 2005 RYA/UKWA Youth and Masters National Championships is to be held at the newly opened Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy on the 24th/25th September. Racing will take place on the waters that will host the 2012 Olympics in seven years time and who knows, maybe a few of those racing in September will be back in 2012 to claim their Olympic medals. UKWA Dahab Youth Freestyle Camp
Eight of the UK's top youth freestylers are immersed in a week of full-on freestyle, based at Club Dahab on the Red Sea.. Coached by Mark ‘Sparky' Hosegood, who has taken on responsibility for developing youth freewave in the UK, the boys have been working hard on a range of moves all week in conditions from light wind up to force 6.

UK Super-X
The UK Super X event went off yesterday in Christchurch with wind, sun and big crashes from some of the top UK sailors! e s i v i s i o n (producers of UK Blast!) were on hand to film it and you can check out the action by going to www.esi-vision.com and clicking on "sport" (you will need broadband and Windows Media Player 10).

GBR Youth team prepare
The Youth team has been preparing at the Youth & Master Worlds event site in Christchurch. The UKWA event at Christchurch precedes the Worlds, and will provide some great competition for the team before the Worlds event.

Eastbourne Extreme 2005
The Eastbourne Extreme drew a huge crowd, who were entertained by the downwind slalom on the saturday afternoon, fueled by a sea breeze. (Not to mention all the non-windsurfing action, music and entertainment at the event!) Check out the pictures and results from the event, report coming soon.

In an update to the original Welsh Hi-Ho article, some more sponsors have gotten on board to help out, and there is also a long distance race planned to the fort on any kit you like, this is the only semi competitive thing to take place though!

Felixstowe Report

The 18th and 19th of June were the dates posted for the eastern cup at Felixstowe and it was with great expectation that the UKWA road show picked up the road maps and planned the tortuous route down to the east coast and the quaint seaside town. -
Dan Ellis at Slalom Euros
Dan Ellis flies the flag at the Jim beam European Slalom Championships kicking off today in Alacaty Turkey. Armed with Fanatic Falcon's and Naish Stealth's he will be fighting for the €15,000 prize fund and to add the European Title to his 2005 Asian title.

Farmoor results
Saturday as expected proved to be a disappointment with very little wind, although there was enough on the T15 course area for the little ‘uns to get in a couple of races. This meant that the LWA Summer Series Farmoor event did not happen, but Sunday more than made up for the Saturday's lack of wind.

Formula Race Training
This is a no nonsense full on training programme in a good fun kind of way and this would be a good grounding for anyone hoping to pass selection or just improve on there sailing abilities. You may think no wind no training, you may have to think again, even when there is no wind we still have loads to learn.
